CLIMBING QUITARAJU (6,036M)
07 Days / 06 Nights - GUIDING CLIENT RATIO: 1:2

OVERVIEW

Quitaraju is part of the Santa Cruz massif and is among the most popular mountains to climb after Alpamayo. It is possible to summit both mountains from the same high base camp, requiring an additional one or two days for the expedition. Quitaraju features a glacier that connects with Alpamayo, hence its name in Quechua: 'Quita' means deposit and 'Raju' means ice, translating to 'ice deposit' in Spanish."
