ITINERARY
Day 1. Huaraz – Vaqueria – Paria ValleyStarting with a 6:00 a.m. pickup, we drive through the stunning Callejón de Huaylas, Llanganuco Valley, and Portachuelo Pass (4,785m) for panoramic photos. From Vaqueria, we hike for 5 hours on a gentle ascent to Paria Valley (3,890m)
Day 2. Paria Valley – Punta Union Pass (4750m) – Taullipampa (4300)
A demanding day with a 5-hour ascent to Punta Unión Pass (4,750m), offering stunning views of peaks like Taulliraju and Artesonraju, plus vistas of Santa Cruz Valley. We then descend to Taullipampa campsite (4,250m). 6 hours total approximately.
Day 3. Taullipampa – Alpamayo Base Camp - Llamacorral
We trek to a viewpoint in Quebrada Arhuaycocha, offering spectacular views of Alpamayo, Quitaraju, and Artesonraju. Afterward, we descend through Santa Cruz Valley, passing a large lake, to our final campsite at Llamacorral (3,750m). The hike takes 6 to 7 hours.
Day 4. Llamacorral – Cashapampa – Huaraz
We trek down Quebrada Santa Cruz Valley to the village of Cashapampa (2,900m), a 3-hour walk, followed by a 3-hour drive back to Huaraz.
