ITINERARY

Day 1. Huaraz – Pashpa – Base camp (4350m)/Hut***

We take a one-hour ride by private transport to the town of Pashpa, where we meet the arriero and donkeys to begin our trek to Base Camp. The trek takes approximately five hours

Day 2. Base camp – Ishinca summit – Base camp

We wake up around 3 a.m. to begin our ascent to the summit. After capturing stunning photos at the top, we make our way back down to Base Camp. The total climb takes approximately eight hours.

Day 3. Base camp – Urus Summit - Base camp

We get up at around 3 am to start our way up to the summit. After taking beautiful photos on the summit, we descend to Base Camp. Total time will be 8 hours approximately.

Day 4. Rest day

Day 5. Base camp –Tocllaraju High camp (4900m)

After breakfast, we continue our ascent along a rocky path, enjoying panoramic views of mountains such as Palcaraju and Ranrapalca. The hike takes approximately four hours. Upon arrival, we set up our tents and rest in preparation for the next day's summit attempt. The ascent is supported by our skilled porters.

Day 6. High camp – Tocllaraju Summit - Base Camp

Around midnight, we begin our ascent to the summit, a journey of approximately seven hours. After capturing stunning photos at the top, we descend first to High Camp and then continue down to Base Camp. The total climb will be 12 hours approx.

Day 7. Base camp/hut – Huaraz

We transfer back to Huaraz and celebrate with a special dinner.

ABOUT THE HUT ***
There is a comfortable climber’s hut here managed by Refugios Andinos, where we can take advantage of the good food and easy accommodation.

Basic mountaineering skills are essential.

Fitness and Acclimatization:

  • It is essential to be in excellent health, good physical condition, and properly acclimatized to the altitude.
Insurance:

  • Having suitable insurance is crucial for high altitude activities. Please ensure your policy has the appropriate level of coverage.

  • Outer jacket: waterproof with a hood (Gore-Tex)
  • Insulated jacket: synthetic or down
  • Gaiters – must fit over mountain boots

  • Mountaineering gloves – medium to heavyweight
  • Warm Hat: that covers your ears and fits under a helmet
  • Sunhat: to protect your face and neck
