ITINERARY
Day 1. Huaraz – Matacancha (4200 M) – Paso Rondoy - JahuacochaWe leave Huaraz for a 5-hour drive to Matacancha, the gateway to the Huayhuash range. From there, we begin our trek toward Rondoy Pass, a stunning viewpoint with spectacular vistas of peaks like Yerupajá, Jirishanca, Ninashanca, Ratsac, and Siulá Grande. Along the way, we enjoy panoramic views of Solteracocha and Jahuacocha lakes. Finally, we descend to Jahuacocha Lake, our second campsite, completing approximately 6 hours of scenic trekking.
Day 2. Jahuacocha – Ratsaq Valley - Jahuacocha
We ascend to the Ratsaq Valley, enjoying stunning vistas of peaks and lakes. Afterward, we return to our campsite on the shores of Jahuacocha Lake.
Day 3. Jahuacocha – Mirador Paso Yaucha – Jahuacocha
At 7 a.m., we begin our ascent toward Yaucha Pass, following the Huacrish Valley and enjoying breathtaking panoramic views along the way. We then descend to Jahuacocha Lake, completing a total of approximately 6 to 7 hours of walking for the day.
Day 4. Jahuacocha – Pampa Llamac - Llamac - Huaraz
After our final breakfast, we begin our ascent to Pampa Llamac, bidding farewell to the breathtaking vistas of the Huayhuash range. From there, we descend to Llamac Village, where our private vehicle will be waiting to transport us back to Huaraz.
